A poster printer is similar to any other printer attached to your computer, except that it prints on large size paper--poster sized paper. You can design a sign, poster or banner on your PC, then directly print in on paper that is from 17" to 36" wide. The length is only limited by the length of a roll of paper, 100 feet. If you need larger posters or signs, the printer can produce multiple pages that can be tiled together to make a sign or poster as wide as 70 inches.
Varitronics poster printers use paper that has the ink built into the paper. This eliminates the need for ribbons or ink. When you purchase paper select the color combinations you plan to print. For example, in the picture to the right there are two signs, one printed with red and white paper, and the other printed with black and white paper.
